Dr Viral Chikani

Endocrinologist

Dr Chikani is an Endocrinologist with special interest in pituitary disorders, obesity, and obesity related endocrine complications such as Type 2 diabetes, testosterone deficiency and PCOS. He also sees general endocrine conditions.

 Dr Chikani completed his specialist training in endocrinology at Princess Alexandra and Gold Coast University Hospitals. He was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2013, and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Queensland in 2017. 

He holds a staff specialist position at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he leads a statewide bariatric surgery and complex obesity service. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and is actively involved in research and medical education.
